Voicing the Heart

An online writing workshop for self-care, community and connection

in the AWA method

This workshop series is finished but Teegan is offering a second series – Voicing the Heart 2. Please click here to go to her website and register. Starts June 4.

  • Are you finding your days and weeks are missing the “bones” of your regular commitments and schedule?
  • Are you missing authentic connection and community in this time of isolation?
  • Are you longing for a practice that could support your resilience? Help you integrate your experience? Lift your spirits?

We’re living through what could be a disheartening time. Above are some of the components of self-care that have been identified as being required to stay balanced and buoyant.

This workshop series, through the innate nature of the AWA method, offers these nourishing components. In our time together we’ll use writing as a tool to explore some of the other ways in which we can strengthen and support ourselves.  We’ll explore the stories we have to tell, from this unusual time right now, from our pasts, and perhaps also from time that hasn’t existed yet through our imaginations.  All genres celebrated:  poetry, fiction, non-fiction, memoir, essay, plays and hybrid forms.

You do not have to define yourself as “a writer” to enjoy this workshop series. The AWA method celebrates and strengthens each individual’s voice and validates the worth and the strength of what they have to say.
