Poetry today!

Pick an emotion.

Answer the following questions:

If this emotion was a colour, what colour would it be?

If this emotion had a scent, what would it smell like?

If this emotion had a flavour, what would it taste like?

What would this emotion feel like if you could touch it with your fingers?

If this emotion made a sound, what would that sound be?

Write a poem without ever actually using the name of the emotion. If you want to tie it to an event when you were feeling that emotion, even better.

Work on this poem for 20 minutes – you’re allowed to use some of that time for revision if you want.
