Writing Workshops, Retreats, Mentoring

2010 08 22 – Today’s writing prompt

In your imagination, close your eyes or the eyes of your character. Now reach out and touch a wall. Let your fingers brush across the surface. Notice the texture and the temperature and the humidity – what is the wall made of? Where is it? Inside or outside? Begin by describing the feeling of the wall.

Set your timer – go wherever that takes you.

Write for at least 15 minutes. (You can go longer if you want).

(Do you need a timer for your computer? Click here.)
