I am mere minutes away from finishing the first draft of my mystery novel. Three agents have expressed interest in seeing the finished product, and I am thinking I should have a professional editor/critiquer read it first. I know I couldn't have picked a worse time of year for this request! Do you know anyone willing/able to handle this job, and how much I should expect to pay for the service?
Because of my genre, I do not think it would be appropriate to hire someone who prefers reading/writing literary fiction. This is a high-concept mystery, told with a satisfying dose of humour.
Looking forward to hearing back from you. Lois G.
