Writers’ Community of Durham Region

The Writers’ Community of Durham Region

(WCDR) is an organization dedicated to the advancement of creative writing skills. For over 15 years it has been gradually building into one of the most dynamic resources for beginners and professionals alike.

James Dewar has just been elected President of this organization and Sue Reynolds has just completed two successful years as its President.

The WCDR is organized and thrives because of the dedication of its outstanding “working” Board of 8 Directors and the ongoing support of of its 300+ and membership.

The President hosts a breakfast held on the second Saturday of every month in Whitby, Ontario.

Pver the last two years attendance at the WCDR breakfasts has steadily grown from about 75 to over 130 per breakfast. A time to connect and enjoy a wonderful meal coincides with a 30 minute presentation by an important author, editor, agent, teacher or other representative of the writing community.

And don’t forget the one hour mini-workshop from 11:00 to 12:00 after each breakfast!

Both Sue and James are proud to be connected with this dynamic group of writers and invite everyone to check out this valuable resource at www.wcdr.ca

*Please note that the Writers’ Community of Durham Region was formerly known as the Writers’ Circle of Durham Region.
